NATURE OF DEFECT
The 30” line detailed above has suffered from external corrosion. This has resulted in an pin hole leaking defect. The client requires a composite repair to seal the leak locations and to bring the line back up to its full design specification.
SOLUTION
Metalyte Pipeworks have produced a repair method using Titan 505 to seal the leaks with a minimum overwrap of 6 layers of Sea Dragon 192 onto the concrete base and 8 layers of Dragon Q-UHT composite system as detailed in the specification below.
