NATURE OF DEFECT
The 1/2” valve had suffered a leak from the gland and the client required Metalyte Pipeworks to provide an online gland repack solution. Due to the gland having insufficient wall thickness, an off the shelf Injection C-Clamp was used along with working the follower to safely repack the valve leaving it fully operational.
SOLUTION
Metalyte Pipeworks repacked the gland using bespoke valve packing compounds.
